Sweden to increase defence spending to 3.5% of its GDP by 2030

The American president, Donald Trump, has asked the NATO nations to hike their defense spending to 5% of their GDP from a current goal of 2%. In response, the Swedish Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, says that Sweden provisionally plans to raise its defense spending to about 3 and a half% of its GDP by the year 2030.
